ยาที่แนะนำใน ER คือ
- sumatriptan 6 mg SC + metoclopramide + dexamethasone 4 mg IV
- ยาเสริม เช่น sodium valpoate 500-1000 mg IV single dose หรือ IV ketorolac
- ถ้าอาการไม่มาก ไม่คลื่นไส้มาก อาจให้แค่ NSAID หรือ paracetamol ถ้าไม่ตอบสนองให้ยากลุ่ม triptan (เช่น eletriptan 20-40 mg PO)
